WinSTIPS Users Tell It All ... |
|
You might call this the WinSTIPS fan
club!
Whatever you call it, and no matter
how confident we are in the value of WinSTIPS, it
sometimes surprises us (and always warms our hearts!) to
receive enthusiastic emails such as those you'll read
below. |

We couldn't have said it better: "WinSTIPS makes you
money".
You really have to see it to believe it. |

I have been in the electronics service business since
1981 and I highly recommend WinSTIPS 2.0 because the
program quickly pays for itself time and time again!
I have almost every repair tips program available,
and WinSTIPS is the first program I use and often the
only program I need.
The support is outstanding, and WinSTIPS has many
tips that none of my other programs list.
One tip today paid for the entire program!
You have no idea how powerful and helpful this
program is until you use it. To put it simply, this
program MAKES YOU MONEY!!!

WinSTIPS consistently "blows away" the competition. Why?
Because of the number and quality of contributors! |

WinSTIPS Makes You Money! |

Just want to say that we have used many "tips" programs
in our 16 years of business, and WinSTIPS blows them all
away. I have found when using WinSTIPS, that most of the
tips are useful tips, not just "bonehead" tips like
"dead, change fuse".
This program is our extra technician in our shop!
Your support and upgrading of the program and database
is excellent. Attention to detail is obvious.
With today's low ball electronic equipment on the
market, we must be able to generate repairs fast and
efficiently. WinSTIPS helps us get the job done! Keep up
the good work!

I had a customer call for in-home service on an RCA
projection TV. The complaint was: When turned off, the
TV would exhibit a blue dot "after-glow" effect. They
swore that it had never occurred before the storm.
I quickly went to "WinSTIPS" and the RCA tips
programs on my computer. I found NOTHING in the RCA
program, but I did find a "tip" in Ken Hull's WinSTIPS
program. It suggested changing Q5002 and Q5003 for this
problem.
Making sure that I had the parts with me, I drove 13
miles one way to the customer's home and fixed it!
I made a customer for "LIFE" because I impressed them
with my abilities and knowledge. "WinSTIPS" HAS PAID FOR
ITSELF TODAY! After having the program for only 3 days!

The money I spent has already been made back. What has
it been, just over 1 day? Two sets later, I've covered
the cost. Besides my cap wizard, nothing else
has paid for itself so quickly.

Let me congratulate your company on premier technical
support. In this day and age of impersonal (and
sometimes non-existent!) software tech support, it is a
pleasure to be able to get immediate answers to one's
problems.
Any technician NOT using your WinSTIPS software is
substantially handicapped by not having the most current
repair information that your product provides.

An NAP P6 chassis had no regulation after replacing the
regulator IC. It turned out that a 100uF/200V capacitor
on the emitter of the regulator transistor (Q400) was
intermittently open. The capacitor tested intermittently
open on my old Sencore at 200 volts test voltage, but it
tested GOOD on an ESR meter, both in and out of circuit.
The new cap fixed the regulation and shutdown
problem, just as WinSTIPS said it would.

I was working on a projection TV and the customer was
really breathing down my neck. I found a tip in
WinSTIPS, showing a couple of bad caps that were causing
my problem, and it saved the day.
That ONE job more than paid for my whole year's
subscription
